Interested in Coaching or Volunteering?

OMLA is looking for coaches for all levels! Please Contact us for more information!

As a volunteer run organization it takes a lot of people to make things run smoothly throughout the year. We are looking for people to step up and help us out as Refs and Coaches. If you are interested in being a Head Coach or an Assistant Coach please fill out the Coaches application at:

Coach Applications should be sent to

We are also in dire need of older Refs. We are hoping to find older teens and parents to give us some maturity in the ref positions and help bring along the next generation of refs through mentoring and cooperation with our younger refs. The game can’t be played without officials to ref. This Association pays for ref courses and you get paid to ref games. Please get hold of me ASAP if you or anyone you know would be interested in reffing this season.

Some amazing free coaches’ resources:

If you have ever thought about coaching, you may download and fill out our Coaching Application.  Please do also review the JOCAP (Joint Officials Coaches Abuse Panel) document - this document contains information on JOCAP’s mandate, for both the officials and coaches sectors to work together to identity why there is so much abuse and to find solutions to this ongoing issue. Strong recommendations have been made to the Directorates for suspensions to help eliminate the abuse.

All coaches and volunteers MUST have a valid criminal record check, which you may do by visiting the local Parksville RCMP detachment.  Please print off and bring in this letter from the OMLA to submit with your request.
